Positive reinforcement is reenforcing the positive actions by a student with praise and negative reinforcement is corrected the student's poor behavior. Positive punishment and negative punishment can done by taking away priviledges.

Positive punishment: the presentation of an undesired stimulus to eradicate negative behavior.
Negative punishment: the removal of a desired stimulus in order to eradicate negative behavior.
Extinction: removal of a stimuli that was the cause of an undesired behavior. This results int he extinction of said "bad" behavior.
